About Adrienne

A Brief Bio

An alumna of Trinity College of Music, London, Adrienne taught and played cello in London and the Southeast of England before moving to Colorado in 1986. There she began a career in Information Technology while continuing to play cello with regional orchestras and chamber ensembles around the state.

She moved to Oregon in 1996 after falling in love with Portland and the Oregon coast while on vacation. She spent over 12 years in IT management before leaving the corporate world to pursue a balance between music and technology.

She now divides her time between cello/bass teaching and performing, and running an IT Resources practice specializing in web design and creative solutions to technology issues. Her music students in Portland and Newport range in age from 8 to 85 (adult beginners are a specialty!). Tech clients are mostly nonprofits (arts and sustainability) and small businesses.

Adrienne is also Resource Director for Recycling Advocates, a grassroots nonprofit group dedicated to creating a sustainable future through local efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle.
